What knives did you receive over the holidays. I personally got the Ontario rat 1 and the kershaw leek.
 
my daughter had a SOG fasthawk under the tree for me Christmas morning and I picked up this beauty in a trade with Luke Smith for myself
1095 4.5" edge with a false top 9.75" OAL,mustard/blue spot pattern finish,stabilized maple burl scales on a tapered tang,file work on the spine,my new favorite and daily companion.Next stop custom leather.

I am loving the unsheathed dagger and the bowie style next to it. they both have amazing lines and even better execution. WOW.

I love it. Fit and finish on it is about perfect. Love the style and design. Handles like a Buck 110, but in a more handy size for edc. In fact, I plan to make it my edc for now. Probably going to just carry it in my pocket, instead of the leather sheath it comes with. Cost only $34 with free shipping, and made in the USA. Nice traditional design. Good for edc, but I could still use it as a hunting knife if I wanted. I would encourage you to give one a try.
