Did a trade with a fellow in Hawaii for this lovely Chris Reeve Cane, there are no swords or knives in these canes, just a very sleek walking cane....

Verrrry nice, Gary ! I've been admiring these for awhile and think that CR has come up with a winner for certain with these. I've long had a couple that I made myself from local hardwoods, or else I'd be all over the Reeve models. Mine don't have the great titanium pieces on top/bottom, just hand carvings, but I'd like to think Gandalf would be comfortable with at least one of mine.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Brian I'm sure that Gandalf would approve of yours as well, perhaps we should ask Bilbo for a review?

It's nice, not a hiking staff but just a Gentlemens cane and now I must learn to be a gentlemen?

Hey Gary!

That cane, describe it for me. The grip below the handle/cap, what is that? And the unique bands on both sides of the handle? I've looked at these many times on the CRK site and never seen those options! That looks very nice indeed...

Give us a review of the look and feel of the thing first hand. I'd bet to win it's veeeeeeeeery nice...

And Brian, where can I see your work? I'd like to see staff such as a Wizard like Gandalf might carry. A staff is more my liking, for traveling by foot and such. Not much of a gentleman myself. A good staff, en elven cloak, some lembas and a dwarf by my side...

Whoa, that was geeky-freaky...

The handle as known is the titanium ball joint for a hip, grooved and holed nicely the spacer is also Titanium as is the tip of the cane. This was made awhile ago and they stopped using the spacer due to the shortage of the titanium tubing.

Here is a view of the tip, the wood is turned and you can see the way the wood grain runs lighter to dark, this Pau Ferra wood (sp) very nice cane and well balanced!

Hi, These things are one high class item. I sure like them. They have really neat lines and with the titanium hardware are fantastic. I have one on order, but Bridget says they will have problems getting out these because they are one man shy and have not gotten anyone else for this work yet. She told me that Chris has to do most of these himself.
I can't wait for the one that I have ordered. It should be one cool looking walking cane. Cya , Jon

Jonathan I hope you also ordered it with the Titanium spacer, as that really sets this cane off nicely, I know that they only have very few of those and it does cost a little more for that, but it's worth it!
