Christmas Challenge?

Are we going to have a challenge for December? I should get a BH# soon, and I am chompin at the bit to get in on a challenge! I can only imagine the adventurous things the mods could be cooking up after November's challenge! (Wish I could have gotten in on that!)
 
I think it really depends on the participation/engagement of us Beckerheads. When the contests first started they had tons of participation, and as they were more frequent, I think many people somehow lost interest somehow.

That said, they have done some Christmas themed ones in the past. I remember one where you had to do something with the christmas tree (show how it was disposed of?), and another one where people had to carve ornaments with their Beckers.

I'm with you though, I love the contests. I'm just really want to win a BK16. I was kind of bummed that I couldn't participate in the last one :(.

I was thinking it might be something like, who can make the best present using primarily a Becker, or something along those lines. I would undoubtedly loose... but hey, I am excited regardless!

Oh man, I could have easily done this. I relief carved my dad a nameplate-esque thing with our last name and some pine trees and just finished it last week. I used my Mora for all of it though, but I could have easily done the same work with my BK11 (and maybe 15, not sure about that one yet). A BK2 did split the piece of wood used though :). And I've got a photo of it just in case I can use it in the theoretical contest :P.
 
That sounds awesome! What is it like to have talent? Haha

I would try to make my wife a spoon, and she would be like "thanks for the... stick..." lol
 
I would've loved to participate in the last one.

I hope they come up with something fun for December.
 
Maybe this isn't the safest idea for forum members with small children; but would decorating a tree with beckers be over the top? Never mind....
 
Clearly I need more Beckers... my tree would be pretty Charlie Brown if only my Beckers decorated it. LOL

My tree would also be Charlie Brown with my small (5) collection. However, I've seen some impressive knifepoirnpix that would cover a treepretty thick. (Or break the limbs by their weight). Hmmm, somehow mixing that many Beckers with that wood tree might not be too healthy for that tree. The aftermath pix might look like a pine bough bedding scene with knives strewn everywhere, and unhappy spouses.��. Might be a good photo op after Christmas, though.....
 
I like the idea. But with my experiences with cats and Christmas ornaments... it could get messy. LOL
