I've been out of it for a while, but 34 oz. is a very hefty M43. Maybe they've trended heavier? Heaviest I have seen previously was by Vim at 33 oz., with the average being 28 (lightest was by Sanu at 24 oz.) This is one case where a bit heavier is good news. Sher has a solid reputation for overbuilding. IMO this is easily a $150 knife...

Just got my 18" Bonecutter which looks like a twin of this one, and it is an incredible blade. Sgt. Khadka makes the best handles, puts the ring in exactly the right place (for me) instead of too far to the rear as some are wont to do, and his blades are always very sharp.

The handle carving on the Dukti is exceptional.

All nice deals for Christmas today!

Norm

P.S.: this post has been up for 10 minutes, and nothing has sold yet? Things must have slowed down. In the "old" days 3 years ago an average of 15-20 people would have been watching the forum since Noon PST or so, and every one of these would have been snapped up by now.

I even know a guy who devised a scheme to preview Yangdu's pics before she posted them, so he could get a jump on the rest of us! (I won't give him away.) :)

Emails to HIMIMP@AOL.COM would have been composed and ready to send, with the words: "Yangdu I would like to get the (fill in the blank)" ready to send. Wait 30 seconds and you missed the deal.

Looks like the old Great White days are long gone. ;)

Good stuff today! go sharks!

edit: That 15" Sher villager AK looks like a real good steal; seems like it'd make a great packable hardworking khuk. I'm going to need to try of one of those someday.

Snow In Reno?.....Geez! I love seeing the computer shack, but i hate snow.
It was almost 50 degrees here in Upstate N.Y. today.

Beautiful sword and Khuk's......
Thank you, Yangdu!

Not gone, just repressed for a little while. As soon as I find some work again, I'm gonna shark everything I possibly can.

Go for it Rat! Your time will come.

Just make sure you 'shark' wisely as it is too easy to get caught up in the frenzy as I discovered much to my sadness and embarrisment. :o

Those are the exact specs on my favorite khuk

If it's really just 32 oz, that Dukti should be a wonderfully fast blade. It's hard to believe that 15-inch AK is still looking for a home -- that's one outstanding deal.

On a side note, I received my 12/10 Lachu Kami Bolo (20-inch / 33 oz / 1/2" spine) -- it's a compact monster of a blade, and my 12/05 Get Bhadur Kami Kumar karda (13 3/4-inch / 13 oz) -- it's like a Leuku, but much stronger than most; it also fits my hand perfectly. Merry Christmas to me, from me!! I may not be done yet depending on what is available and who sees it first in the next few days.

I know! I can't believe the restraint I am exercising this holiday season with all these awesome khuks popping up. With the bolos and M-43s and now this perfect portable worker 15" AK....it's been a great test in self control :)

Without question, this is the basis of (or required totality of) any H.I. khuk accumulation. It will never disappoint. Never.

Wow, still there! I have resolved to not pick up any more holiday debt. :)

I'll don't mind buying a full price one later anyway, contribute a lil more to the kamis. Then that way I can get a wood handled one....
