Man, all these great Sher 15" AKs popping up in this month's DOTDs. I wish I had the extra cash laying around, these are great deals :) Where are all the sharks? It's quiet here....

I looked in earlier and thought the same thing about that AK -- it's an absolutely perfect starter khuk -- the 1.5-pound 15-inch AK is HIs best seller and that price is about half the non-villager list. The Bura Bowie is also tempting; it's 2-3 ounces heavier than most, possibly because the handle is horn, which should shift the balance back and make it feel more like a fighter. Also, that Kumar Karda is a bit smaller than I prefer, but it's a lot of knife for the price (it might make a very nice medium-sized kitchen knife).

I'm here. But I already have three (3) AKs. Man... these are such great deals! Great value at that cost.

Just yesterday I took my wife out to lunch in Sonoma (CA wine country). The tab was $60.... close to what Yangdu is giving this stuff away at. That lunch is now long gone, but if I had just used the dough to pick up one of these blades instead - I'd still have it. I betcha one of these blades would last a heckuva lot longer than a lunch. Sometimes.... I'm not too bright...

Haha, it's ok UD, i'd venture you're plenty bright: I don't know your wife's view on knives, but she might appreciate the Sonoma lunch with you more than you bringing home a new sharp and pretty :D The lunch is long gone, but she's still there!

This reminds me of the other day when I smacked myself in the head because I just realized I had bought two of those awesome DOTD purses for my lady as christmas gifts for a total of $70 (the second one was the one I originally wanted to get her that popped up on a later DOTD). I could have got one of these Sher 15" AKs or (if I added $20 or so) that Bolo I was drooling over with that $70!! Oh well, sacrifices :)

Who am I kidding. What are you thinking man!! I can't believe you picked fancy food over a new high value khuk! :D:D

And I'm here as usual...Torturing myself looking at things that i just cant buy.....Yet.
but as soon as i'm back to work, you sharks are gonna havta learn to deal with the hunger pangs.

OTOH... the wife was quite nice in getting me the last leftover from the 12/17 DOTD for X-mas...so i can't complain.

Still i can't believe the last 2 DOTD's are relatively untouched.....where is the H.I and Kami love people?

Is it bad that I'm sitting here going, "well... I've got enough knives right now, but man! That skirt!!" ;)

Well People... Howsabout Putting the Ones You Love WITH The Blades We Love!!!
LOL... Works for us!!
Doc N Willow
PS: Way To Go Karda!!

I have to admit... It's a very sweet Gift, Karda!! I've found... as maybe you have, that it's more fun when your Spouse/Sig. Other... is involved in what you do..
(doesn't mean we have to do Everything together ... (can't see DocH setting up a Solstice Alter anytime soon) But He was kind enough to think of me by getting me a Lil' HI something for it.

AND It gives you something to talk about after all the "Kid Stuff" has been talked about over dinner.

BTW My Bearded dragon LOVES the dragon Blade.... Pic. of Santa Beardie soon.

Willow

LOL...thanks!

She appreciates the art aspect of some of these khuks, but doesnt really care for knives in general and claims i have too many............ i even gave her one of my kershaw storm II's to carry.
I only have 5 khuks,1 khukrambit, 3 karambits, 4 fixed blades,4 folders and an odd assortment of pocketknives my dad collected.

I havent ordered a khuk in so long i had forgotten what it's like sitting on pins and needles waiting for that triangular package to arrive, i just checked the mail too.....and it's not here yet. pretty sure i'll be grinning from ear to ear over the weekend though.
