Hello fellow knife lovers/addicts. On Christmas Eve My wife and I celebrated with her side of the family. BTW, mine too. MY step daughter, stepson, 3 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, 1 daughter in law and my wife. My wife bought gifts for family but I wanted to give a different gift to the kids. You guessed KNIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have around 500 knives of all types in 30 plus years of collecting. I am 69 yrs old and wanted have some knife fun. Most of these knives are NIB. My stepson and son in law and grandsons and one daughter in law.my stepson, son in law, and daughter in law got two each because they could not decide with just one.
I guess about two thousand dollars in knives left with them. This was the most fun/joy/excitement I had in a long time. All gifts were cleared with the parents ok and instructions on use and where not to carry like our school systems.
Please I am not wealthy just ever day guy trying to put food on the table and provide for my family without depending on our falling a part govt., political system that is hell bent on self destruction. My grandfather gave me my first pocket knife when I was five yrs old

Good story. Hopefully you kindled at least one of them to start and enjoy the hobby.

Good story, and giving something you like to others, and I think they will enjoy them too. With the Christmas exchange we had in the Jk forum, I gave a Eisenhower dollar to keep up the tradition of giving or getting a coin when you give a knife to someone. I have done that the last two years, did you give a coin or keep up that tradition with the TX gift giving?
