Ahh yes, the holidays are here, and people are counting every penny, dime, nickel, and dollar to put towards there gifts. As always there is a need for gifts just to fill up space under the christmas tree and inisde the stockings. Don't just go to Spencer's Gift's and buy a bunch of funny, novelty junk to fill up space. Put some thought into it, there are so many knives out there that would be great for that. So I say lets start a list of all those nice gifts a knife lover will love to have.

1) virtually anything from kershaw would make any member on this forum happy
2) I hear that the Ka-Bar Dozier's are some tough folders, perfect for someone who really puts a knife through the ringer
3) The CRKT Lake's make and adequate folder for an EDC
4) How about a Cold Steel like a Tuff or a Voyager.
5) A Buck 110 is a long time favored knife by many
6) A Mora may be a great option for the woodsman in the family.
7)A Ka-Bar ESEE BK14 is a great alternative to the ESEE Izula.
8) A Ontario machete has been a favorite for either zombie slaying or clearing a trail, just be sure to include the sheath.
9) Maybe something a little smaller, how about a CRKT Folt's Minimalist
10) if you are in search of heavy choppers, give Condor T&K a look. For the money you can't beat them.

So that's it off the top of my head, feel free to add some more

Funny story- a couple of my friends who were going to get specificly picked for them, nicer ($40-85 range) knives are going to end up with rat-2's, my sister included (I had hoped to get her a used sage but cant afford it) but luckly for one of my good friends Brian (who I had planned to give a Rat) I managed to snag a killer deal on the mini-grip I really wanted to give him but didnt think I could afford. I can't wait to give him that, I got BM to send me a black bag and a deep-carry clip so at LNIB, just how he wanted (and a total surprise) so I know its gonna go over very well!

I would say the mini-grip would be an awesome stocking stuffer, even for people who like larger knives usually, but it's kind'a expensive of you needed multiple.
If your looking for cheap you could always split up a spyderco bug set or do Spyderco ladybug's.
I agree with ya on the Ka-bar Dozier and the Mora, if they can handle a little more care get a carbon one and patina the blade (costs nothing) so its customized by yourself.
Its startin to get a little more expensive but the Boker nano is a cool little knife and surprisingly utilitarian.
Everyone needs a DMT "serrated sharpener" (A.K.A. diamond file) for under $20 its useful for way more than just sharpening serrations.
Another good tool would be the $7 husky 8 in 1 torx drivers.

I'm giving L3 illumination "L10" flashlights (small, bright & cheap 1xAA twisty lights with Nichia219 high CRI emitters) to some of my moms friends/co-workers who dislike LED flashlights in general cause they think they're all to blue and hurt their eyes (ok well mom's buying them on my suggestion), I'm hoping the Nichia219 will change their negative outlook on what current LED's are like. I'm buying my wife a XENO EO3 (1xAA clicky with much harder driven Nichia219) and it'll go in her stocking but its a little more money than the L10.

My "kids" (meaning my wife) are getting me a ESEE zancudo.

It sounds like a good deal of fun on Christmas. It's much tougher to buy for the ladies, I've found.

A nice slipjoint would work great. From Rough Rider in a new pattern to a GEC.
An Opinel no. 6 would do well as well.

Not this lady :)

I don't see any traditionals on your lists.
A few years ago, I bought everyone a Rough Rider. Very inexpensive, but decent quality. It was fun to pick out who got which one. They have lots of pretty little mother of pearl pen knives that even non-knife people can like.

 I forgot about the traditional

So santa forgot about the traditional lovers, he must hurry back to the shop and tell those lazy elfs to get back to work. Because Christmas is right around the corner.

You have stockmans, whittlers, sodbuster, and canoe. Congress, barlows, and even a trapper or two. Many companies offer these knives like; like Case, Rough Rider, and even Boker. You can't go wrong with these knives everybody will love'em. Give woman, children , husbands, wives, even and infant. Its the universal holiday gift.

The Svord Peasant knives, are interesting, and inexpensive. They'd make great, unusual gifts.
