So last year I made a bird and trout knife for my dad for christmas. He and my mom do a lot of fishing and last year about this time is when I first started expermenting making my own knives.
Well it has worked well and he took it with him all this past spring and summer and used it to clean his fish.
My dad used to be a big deer hunter and would go for 3 or 4 weeks a year when I was growing up. He hasn't went for the past 10 years or so but decided this year to start back.
For as long as I can remember (since I was a little kid) he has always used a Buck 110 as his hunting knife (great knife this is no knock on it)
So this year I decided to give him a hunting knife for Christmas.
1084 carbon steel
8" overall
4" blade
1/8th " thick
red diamondwood scales
leather sheath
I also figured while I was taking some pictures to get some of the knife and sheath I made myself. It's an all around woods knife, I call it my Ohio woodsman model.
1084 carbon steel
10 " overall
5 " blade
3/16th thick
leather sheath
Thanks for looking and Merry Christmas everyone
