Every fall, when it's cooling down and before it gets too cold,, I become a wannabe Knifemaker. It's a fun project and makes me appreciate the knives I have even more.
These are some small fixed blades I made from CPM154.
The Palm swell and shape are inspired by my AMS,, one of the best EDC fixed blades out there.
I fudged up the lanyard tube on one,,, it was already epoxied and pinned,,, so it was either pry the scales off and lose a couple days I didn't have,, or just pull the tube..lessons learned.
Keep in mind I never make these to sell,, and have no intention of ever doing so. It's just a fun hobby and they make great meaningful gifts to family.
I made sheaths for them as well,, but didn't snap any pictures as I had to get them shipped out quick today in time for Christmas.
Cheers and Happy Holidays!!![emoji481][emoji481]

Thanks!
Green canvas micarta,, sanded to 600,, then oiled and polished.
I've sanded it further in the past,, but you lose some grip..

Awesome work! Makes me want to get off my butt and make the micarta scales for my BK-15 that I've been putting off. (But something tells me it's still a ways off. Family life, *sigh* lol.)

I won't lie,, between the holidays,, and traveling to Mexico and Boston the last month for work,,, this was a huge undertaking to get it done in time...
There was definitely Blood, Sweat, and dang near Tears!!:D

They came out great! You have some lucky family members getting those knives as gifts...I always thought about trying to make one but haven't done it yet maybe this winter...

Great posting thank you. I am a wannabe also. But I aspire to get nice looking knives. I just really started. Thank you, these look great.
