Today we had my families xmas get together, I must be easy to read for gifts now, because my brother got me a NIB 110 :D

What a perfect day!!!!

Merry christmas to all the Buck collectors too! May your families be blessed with health and stockings full of Buck Knives :D

This is a Christmas Edition Alaskan Guide 110 ;) , with book matched stabilized mammoth tooth inlays. I had Sambar stag ready for use on it, but an old friend sent me the mammoth tooth, and I had to see how hard it was to work with.

Nice look scott. I just bought a guide also and thought about which handles that I would like on it.

Trax, book matched is just when you split something in half and each side mirrors the other, like this Ironwood:
Then, match up the scales on each side of the knife.
The mammoth tooth wasn't much different than anything else stabilized, some chipping while sanding, but not near as brittle as it looks

Hey Scott,
Here's my annual Buck custom 110 gift to myself. As you can see I have the year etched onto the blade (so I can keep track :D ). I envy your skills. Those bookmatched mammoth tooth scales look great!

Very nice additions to your collection Scott. I love the Mammoth Tooth scales. How hard was it to replace the old scales? Do any side work????
