Hi everyone I hope you are all well and Merry Christmas. I've recently been playing around with lined leather works so after making a few wallets etc... I though it would be nice to make a lined sheath (SOB) for a giveaway. I'll try not to make this a long post but a bit about the sheath. The outer is a basket weaved black calf and the cotton lining is made by Liberty:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberty_(department_store)
Liberty is a department store in my hometown of London opened in 1875 and it is renowned for its original patterns of textiles called Liberty fabric. Often lending its pattern in the form of collaborations to designers such as the likes of Yves Saint Laurent and Vivienne Westwood. Other than using it to make scarves, pocket squares and dresses for their own products they also sell the fabric at the haberdashery. Which I have used for the lining.
The sheath is for one of my favourite Busse, Son of Badger (below):

A few apologies, most of my giveaways are prototypes that I made for fun meaning there are a few blemishes:
-Since the lining is cotton the sheath is more ornamental so the lining will be less durable than say a leather lining.
[-Although one was entirely my fault, I basically used the new formula of knife fit on an old pattern making the fit more snug than usual meaning you will have to give it a bit of a tug to pull the knife out, although I think it should become a lot easier once it breaks in properly (I've left my SOB in there for now to speed up the stretching).
-When I was moulding the sheath using the SOB, there was a bit of dye transfer from the rim of the sheath and a nick in the lining.]
Update: Although I have the exact sheath photographed above ready for shipping I am making another one as I type with a more optimised fit. I thought I should make this post now rather than later while everyone still have their Christmas decoration up for the photo challenge.
Update 2: I've remade the sheath using the old formula and the sheath now has the correct tightness. Please ignore the above.
I'm very sorry about the above.
I think if I were ever to make a lined sheath again I will use it for a folder pouch so the pattern could be seen more and it will also be less abrasive to the lining.
As for the challenge please post up a pic of your SOB (standard please as otherwise I can't be sure if the sheath fits properly) along with any Christmas festivities in the background (Christmas trees, wreath etc...). Extra points for mosaic pins, comp finish and ivory G10, mammoth tooth or wooden handles. Also one pic per SOB please so if you have two SOB for example then please feel free to post one for each.
If you would like more pics of the sheath or have any questions please let me know.
I just want to say thank you to Jaxx for making this happen he has taken his own time out to help me and that was very nice of him.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas.
