Christmas Giveaway

I hope everyone had the chance to spend some time with their friends and family for Thanksgiving. I smoked a turkey and although it wasn't my best product, it was edible!!!

Anyway, let's get into the giveaway. I'm going to give away two traditional knives and two Blade Magazine subscriptions this year. Four gifts total. I'll select four members on Christmas Eve who post to the thread for the Christmas gifts. All you have to do is post a traditional knife with a Christmas theme or in the snow or a combo thereof. I'm in Florida and don't get to see much of that stuff. There will be no "this isn't an entry". Everyone gets into the reindeer games!!

I thought these might be good pics for this thread too because the Tinker with the bear on it is a Christmas gift for my wife. I want to put it in a box before I gift wrap it so I used my own Tinker to open the package.



It’s been snowing here all day which is common around here for late November. What is not common is that we had a couple of cracks of lightning earlier today. Right in the middle of a snowstorm. I don’t recall ever hearing thunder during a snowstorm before. Startled the wife and I because it was about the last thing we expected to hear. My neighbor said it was “Thundersnowing”.

Thank you for the opportunity. It’s very generous. If it’s okay to use a recycled picture I’d love to enter. No pictures of the current snow we have and it’s starting to melt so it’s a nasty mess. Here’s a shot from last year I think.

Last Christmas my Dad was in hospital so I booked a hotel so I could visit on Christmas and Boxing Day.

While the nurses gave them a special meal both days all I had was a disgusting long life sandwich from the petrol station.

I did manage a little walk in the village I stayed at and the nurses gave me a cup of tea/biscuits a few times so not all bad.



This year he’s chair/housebound at home so I’ve booked another hotel to see him.

He gets frozen meals delivered,I’ve ordered a Christmas meals pack for him.

So we will both have a microwave frozen turkey dinner,I can’t wait.

I’m bringing a decent Christmas pudding and cream for afters.

There’s no room in his house with all the medical equipment so I am bringing a fold up chair and table for myself.

In the hospital I will only carry something small like this cadet and never flash it around,I shall take a big knife to the hotel and make my own sarneys this year.

No snow and no Christmas decorations so doesn’t look seasonal…

Ho,ho,ho it’s Christmas.

Honestly in my opinion this might be some of the best Christmas pictures I’ve seen in a long time. Yes no snow, no glitter,no fancy decor, but the spirit of Christmas is captured in these photos.
