I hit one this time!
About three months ago my wife and I stopped into a little antique/consignment shop she had been wanting to check out. she ran across a big wrought iron/wooden glass top coffee table that looked like it weighed 200 pounds and exclaimed "I want this table!" I started to equivocate, subtly putting it down, pointing out a scratch, it doesn't really fit our décor, etc. Now it really was a nice table but she usually defers to me in decorating matters. (As I told her, "I have excellent taste. That's why I married you.")
I went back later without her and discovered they also had a large matching end table. Have them in storage until Christmas.
I may accumulate enough points on this one for a couple of knife purchases, or maybe that S&W .44 Special I have been lusting over.
