At least thats what it would appear to be. :D

I was very impressed with the knife when I originally heard about it and followed the design thread and continued to follow it right down to pre-order. I decided the day I read the pre-order thread this was a knife worth having. At the price...a catch and hard to beat. Two knives I own and compare it to is the Fallkniven and the Bravo-1. Both knives bigger then the Koster bushcraft.

My first impression was..."she's smaller then I thought." (Yes, all knives are she's in my house...left over from the Marine Corps I suppose) I don't think I have large hands my any means but I'm glad I ordered it with the thicker micarta handle. Some might find this funny....I pulled up the thread and laid the knife over the picture.....guess what? Same size! Go figure!

I took a few pictures but have not had a chance to use it just yet. I even thought about prepping some veggies in the kitchen but was on my way out the door to dinner and was running late. I did however have time to lay her on the pool table and take a few fast pictures. I loaded them up to photobucket and present them here. I'll try to right up more when I have a chance to use it.

Not the best photographer in the world..but here you are.

Thanks for posting the pics, looks really sweet. The small size was a consideration for a moment when I first saw the pre-order, but quickly compared dimensions to my Mora 510, which is one of my favorite knives period. I think the size is a big advantage when doing extended work with it, or wood carving, or anything demanding a lot of control/precision.

Very nice. I think mine will be arriving any day now, can't wait. The design looks dead on, and the price is right too. I'm glad Dan decided to offer these!

Have been super busy so still not able to get out to "Ye Ole Wild" to use and abuse the new bushcraft....I decided instead...it would get a workout in the kitchen!! :D

My youngest brother is moving to NJ with his wife and we decided last minute to have yet.....another...."Going Away" party. Does anyone really need an excuse for having the family over, tons of alcohol and good times? I say nay.

So...away we went....after getting a quick consensus of what everyone preferred for good eats.....fajitas along with marinated chicken was the vote most popular. When it comes to pre-marinated fajita meat you WANT a sharp knife....especially when slicing and preparing 12 LBS of it. Now I grill my meat a tad different then most. Many will keep the meat whole and grill first...and slice after. A trick I have used for several years now is to cut all the meat pre-grill...and I use a Chinese style grill grill wok to cook all the pre-sliced meat. I use grill tongs to turn the meat throughout cooking. Comes out great!!

Hands down, the knife performs....it went through that fajita meat like a hot knife through butter. I had to use very little pressure to cut through meat. It was so easy in fact...with larger pieces I needed to cut down to a more manageable size....I simply held it up in the air and sliced across...wala....smaller size. :D I'm really looking forward to further use of the knife in general but I have to say it saw memorable use so far. The entire 12 lbs of beef was gone by the end of the night.....a Maker's Mark bottle...dead....two bottles of Tito's handmade Vodka, two bottles of Grey Goose and 6 bottles of wine...dead.
