Went to the mail box a while ago kind of expecting a package and actually found two. The second one obviously got here in record time...

On top is a Camillus BK-1 Brute - thanks very much Jonny1280! And then the lower knife is a Div Tul, stainless steel, made by Cincinatti??? (not sure about that) and also not sure what "div" stands for. But thank you knifejunkie1928.

Both knives are in excellent shape as are their (correct I think) sheaths. If anyone can tell me anything about vintage, manufacturers, and what "div" stands for, that would be great!!

I'm so glad you bought that Brute, Colonel. If it had still been available on Wednesday morning when I woke up, I'm not sure how I would have explained that one to my wife. [emoji6]

Excellent scores, my friend.

Excellent scores, my friend.

Thank You! I have wanted a Brute for a while now and this one was for a reasonable price - unlike some I have seen elsewhere on the net.

Wow. Brilliant hard to get at a decent price steel. Congrats Col. Steel envy for sure...

Congrats. I really like my Brute. I think it's one bad ass blade.

Close Travis .....

Very close..... In different lengths I had planned a TacTul, Dvtul, and ResqTul...... This particular blade was started in Cincinnati and completed in Effingham.... The early"Tul"series blades were Hitachi 440A steel....... Reasonably rare...... A good hit Colonel...... Was so good to spend a little time with you and Kathi..... See you soon, I hope....

If you do come this way, we will count on it!

Nice score on the Brute from Jonny. It's a very capable and fun tool if you thin out the edge a bit.....OK, a little more than a bit. But still, I totally dig mine, as I'm sure you will yours.
Still haven't developed a hankerin' for a 3 of any kind.....yet. But good find nonetheless.

Question about The Camillus Brute.....the data base says it should have a "black epoxy coating". Mine does not - could there be exceptions re the coating or has mine just been stripped by a previous owner? Either way I love it!

Pretty sure it's been stripped.
