Christmas Knives

I don't know about every one else, but I have a family of enablers.

I made a list and I checked it twice.
I sent it off hoping that
I was deemed not naughty, but nice.

The result was the following stash: 1 each - BK2, BK11, BK16, Ka-Barley and 2 Kabar Lake Effect Ice Scrapers. :D:D:D

Not a single pair of underwear, any t-shirts, dress shirts, dress pants, ties, socks, towels or wash cloths to be found in ANY of the gifts I received from my mother, siblings and in-laws, nieces or nephews. Just a large pile of steel and plastic. :D:D:D:D:D

Who else got Beckered for Christmas?

I didn't get any Beckers for Xmas, instead I got: A SAK Tinker, A Kabar JAB Piggyback and a Leatherman Brewzer. Instead of larger BKs I got a K.O. WorkSharp.

Having said that, I did give my son his first ever fixed blade for Xmas. A BK14. He loves it.
 
I really don't think anyone I know would give me a knife....but there are still lots presents left to be opened! I did, however, gift my SIL with an ESEE/Becker Kitchen Knife set. I think she's pretty psyched.

Well, I'm fortunate in that my family accepts me for all my (as perceived from their end) faults. They may not understand my sharp object fetish, but they know what makes me happy. Sharp, pointy objects. They just usually don't know what to get me. This year, I actually put out a list of said items. I also provided URLs to several online knife dealers, part numbers of said items for each website and a prioritized list of what I wanted. I also noted on the list that I had 3 drawers each of underwear and t-shirts (with 2 or 3 unopened packages of each on a shelf in my closet), 2 drawers of socks and 2 closet rods full of dress shirts and pants and blue jeans and 14 ties that I don't wear (I shifted to bolo ties years ago and SELDOM (almost never) wear the regular ties anymore. Must have worked, since I got the stash. :)
 
My father inlaw got me this kabar, not his own but got it for me because he's a retired marine and it has my birthday on it.

 
No Beckers...but I got an ESEE 6, a Boker Rambler, and a 4Sevens QT2L-X flashlight!



I'm sorry to all Becker users for the ESEE pic...but you asked! :p
 
No Kabar Beckers for me for Christmas per se, but it is a matter of defining when new acquisitions "are" for Christmas. I purchased a BK-24 a couple of weeks before Christmas. The Becker list now includes BK-2, BK-7, BK-14, BK-16, and BK-24. No BK-9 yet. That might happen in 2014. My "christmas" knife was a new Dozier custom actually.
 
Didn't get any, but gifted three BK9s. Really enjoyed watching them opened.
 
My awesome wife got me a BK9, Leatherman Juice S2, and a Work Sharp. Now I need to get out and see if the 9 is as awesome as ya'll say!

I gave three of these sets as gifts, and they were a big hit. :thumbup:

it's a good'un.
Recommend you disassemble it completely and wipe down the inner plates etc. with ballistol or some other light oil if you're going to carry it in-pocket or IWP in the summer. Lots of crannies to hold moisture.
 
I got a blackwashed ZT 0560, a Spyderco Military XHP, a Spyderco Miltitary CruWear, a Paramililtary CTS204p, an HTM DDR Gunhammer in M390 (from my wife, most of these were gifts to Santa) and a Manix in BD1 and pre-ordered a Contego M390 and a Manix XL S90V. I should probably get therpay.
