A friend of mine told me last week that "a knife from Jerry Shorter" was on his son Jacob's cristmas list, ( Jacob is 12 and is looking forward to going deer hunting next year). so this last weekend I came up with this little hunter.
5160, 8.25 x 1.25, 4 inch hand rubbed blade, cocobolo and brass

I love the lines and usefulness of the handle/guard. Congrats to ALL.

Thank you my friends, Wouldn't it be neat if Jacob kept it until he has a son and passed it on. ahh, the stuff dreams are made of. Making that knife for that young man made my christmas a much better one.
I hope you all have a good christmas also.

I sure hope he does! Maybe you should buy him a Taiwan beater to accompany it, because I know I'd be reluctant to use something like that!

I'm sure he'll love it. If he doesn't, though, e-mail me :D :D

Needle, "I'd be reluctant to use something like that!" Ya, you know not one of my customers has as of yet used one of my knives. When I ask them "how did it work" I get "Oh,I left it back at camp" or " my friend wanted to use his knife" or "it's just to pretty". What can a fella do?

charge them an extra $25. tell them that when they call you back and tell you how it worked under actual use they can have the $25 deposit back:D
