Wanted to make something on the larger size while enjoying some time off from work :) Decided to make a larger variant of the Merc design Bowie. This one is a large, wide blade running the blade about 2in wide. Overall it is 15 3/4in with 10 1/2in of that being blade! The full flat grind and some drilling of the tang tame the starting weight of the 1/4in thick 5160 to 23oz finished weight. The false edge is convex ground to sharp then I removed the edge just a tad to keep it street legal but it is still very capable of a nasty back cut. For the scales I used black G10 over some orange G10 liners. The wide grooves in the handle keep it in your hand but don't tear up your hand. Depending on how it's used, this is either a pure wicked fighter or a helluva useful camp knife :) Too late to get decent pics but here are some quick shots for now.

***Now with 100% more choil!!!!***
