Hi All,

Here are some photos of my son's Christmas present from me this year. I made it yesterday. 14" blade is from 1/8th inch thick 1095 and is spring tempered. I have made others for him out of 1018 mild steel and it doesn't take long for him to destroy them. The edge is 1/32nd" thick and rolled. Guard is 1095 and the pommel is bronze. Handle is made out of delrin. He will be able to wail with this one, and it has the nice ring when it strikes.

Cheers,
Fuad

What a great gift, coming from his dad, he will have something to cherish and pass on to another family member one day that will have much more meaning than a short sword from someplace else.

Thanks Guys,

He was very surprised. I had done it in secret, and when he saw that big padded zipper case under the tree he retrieved it and said here you go DaDa. When I told him that it was his, he instantly had this look on his face like he knew Exactly what it was. I did make a scabbard for it and I'll get some pic's up soon.

Happy New Year,
Fuad
