I believe that most everyone knows that Mrs. Martino is providing some outstanding deals on HI products. All of the items are made in Nepal and though most are familiar, some are not seen on this side of the world that often. She offers hand made hats similar to the one advertised last week with the flags on the sides and a Mohawk hair-do on top. Wild? Yes. Campy? Yes. Warm? Dern right! Fun? Absolutely! You should see the looks I get wearing mine around town. I could have sold it several times today. If I was single and 23 once again, I'd be picking up the chicks like crazy. They do seem to like it! It is one cozy little hat and the wind does not go through being fleece lined.

Khukuri are HI's bread and butter and the only reason we all get together on the forum. There are many different kuks in many different sizes and for many different pocket books. Plain and simple to outlandishly fancy. HI's got'em all. Can't afford a full sized kuk? Get one of her little kuk hat pins that say Nepal on them. Very well constructed, they are. To ho-hum for you? How about a Kothimoda, then? I got one of those, too and I'll bet you could treat yourself to one as well.

[/IMG] How about this little jewel? Pretty cool in my book. Notice the kuk is sticking out of the chape a bit? Although the chape throat is pinched slightly to keep the kuk from falling out and getting lost, it's fully shaped and could be removed. The chape or sheath is not cast! Look closely again and you'll see that the details are of intricately wound silver wires. This is one beautiful piece of hand craftsmanship if ever I've seen any.

Both of these items and the little kagas katne letter openers are delightful "stocking stuffers" that won't set you back an arm and a leg. Christmas is coming and you're running out of time, so get with Mrs. Martino ASAP and latch on to one or more of these small treasures before they're all gone. Christmas presents to yourself aren't so much fun to get after the first of the year, you know. Enjoy.

Dude!!! That is so you! I can visualize you driving a Huey H model with that hat on and the little fellers on the ground surrending, these pilot is dinky doy!!!

The little gem in your hand isn't a pin right, the tiny little knife comes out of the tiny little sheath? Wicked cool.

I'm kinda surprised your anywhere near the tiny little nail file after your little run in with the wire wheel. Looks like all the scabs are gone and your ready to make hand lotion commercials again.

My best to Cutie Curls as always.

We got a Roo farm about an hour north of us. Been there a couple times. Got a bunch of em, from little babies to great big ones. Get right up close to em. None wanted to box me though. Had a few other critters wandering around too.
They claim they make great pets??

I don't first time one up and kicked me, he'd probably take a 45 to the throat and how would I splain that to Lucy? Ya know.

Well I'll be dipped in goose slobber, so it IS a pin but the knife still comes out? I'm slow today but I'm starting to get a handle on this here tiny little sharp pointy thing.

Hah that's cool! Didn't know you blokes bred roos in the states, learn something new everyday. Roo meat is damn good for ya, almost no fat, packed full of iron and protein. Way better than beef, but a bit dearer. Bit testy to cook it properly but worth it :D

Yeah I've seen a few pet roos, pretty bizarre aye haha and I wouldn't box them mate, those legs are powerful and their claws are big. You can most definitely walk away with a bit of intestine hanging out. And nobody got time for dat. 45 to the throat would do it if the bugger stood still long enough for ya ;)

Now there ya go.....
I wasn't seeing enough 'roo, bloke, bugger and crikey and was beginning to think somebody was a northerner. :D :D ;) :p
FYI, we have camels and koalas too....;)

Hah I was trying to keep slang to a minimum so you blokes could keep up :P otherwise who knows what I'm talking about...although, that's the Australian charm isn't it? Haha

Knowing Americans you'd probably have more koalas in captivity than we do :P and camels? You can keep em, they're a pest over here...The only thing they're good for is racing and exporting lol

I'm not sure there are any confirmed wild camels in the US. There are persistent rumors of wild camels in Brazos Bend State Park in Texas near Houston, remnants of camels imported by the Confederate States of America, but as best as I know the rumors have never been confirmed.

You know, there's probably more people in that states that would believe that Bigfoot exists more than wild camels haha

Ask kamidog if he's seen any camels in Texas :D

All I know is that I've never seen camels in Texas, but that doesn't mean much. I'm from the city, not an area likely to have wild camels. And oddly enough, I can't find anything about the rumors of camel sightings. I know I've heard about the rumors, but now I can't find anything about them.

Just to be clear I don't breed roos myself, mostly cause no roo ever asked.

I would not be surprised if there ain't wild Camels in the south, I got nothing to back that up, just a gut feeling.

Never seen a big foot neither, if they is real they pretty durn good at hiding.

Course you catch one, clean him up a bit and give it a shave and ya must might have yourself a Bookie. ????

Have yerself a Bookie, eh? Well, we'll see about that! Tomorrow bein' Thursday and all, I'm goin' down to the French Foreign Legion Recruiting office and enlist! As JOE HOPKE! Soon as I sign on the dotted line, I'll tell'em that I gotta go take a Number Two, then slip out the back and take my fake mustache off. They already got name, address, telephone number, email address and Zip Code....and you KNOW how well the Legion takes care of their own problems, eh? I can see it all now....Private Joe Hopke accidentally falls off a curb and breaks both arms and both legs. Lucky for him those two Legionnaires come along to find him and help him up! Otherwise he cudda got hurt really bad. Yep. I can see it all now. Legionnaire Hopke stationed down South where all them wild and roamin' camels are. Out in th' hot sun wearin' that little hat and his white hanky hangin' down the back of his head all Beau Geste like.....
