That is one heavy M-43.
10 oz. more than usual but only an inch longer.
I am guessing it has a serious spine and tang thickness.

Well, due to its unique and therefore *irreplaceable* status, there are limits to what I will do with the SCAK, such as taking it on board our canoe, you dig?

This M43 is a nice size at 19". From my experiences with H.I. this means its actual length might be more like 19.5" or 20". It's about 6 oz heavier than the SCAK too.

The M43 was at the top of my H.I. "want list" and I was waiting for just the right one which visually appealed to me to show up. This one seemed right and now I'll be able to see what sort of work the new Sher can do.
