Christmas Tanto WIP

I'm making a small Tanto for my younger brother for Christmas. I haven't done a WIP yet, so I decided I would post it. He really likes cord wrapped handles, so I designed it with a cord wrap in mind. I'll use a Turks Head knot as a guard. Enjoy!

Finished profiling the blade and a rough surface sanding on a granite slab to see the high spots. (I didn't think to take pictures as I designed and sketched it. Sorry.)

Nice profile. What do you have planned for the grind?

A flat saber grind that flows along into the handle. Like traditional japanese swords and tantos.
