We have one that I look forward to every Christmas, actually Christmas Eve. My wife makes one hell of a venison stew for our Christmas eve dinner. Along with biscuits and some cold Killians Irish Red. Pumpkin pie for dessert.
Anyone else have any Christmas traditions you do every year?
Scott

Eh, nothing I am a fan of. On Christmas Eve we head over to a Christmas party at a friends. On Christmas day we go and hang out with cousins and family.
Try to find a time for church somewhere in there, it used to me midnight mass.
Frankly the plans change every year, but I can always count on being woken up at six to open presents.

Ours usually changes each year, but if you want to set another place at your table, I would be more than happy to start a new one . . . :D
This sounds like a top ten winter time dinner.
Thanks Scott, Merry Christmas to you and your family as well.
Be safe.

We will be going to a pot luck dinner at my sister in laws tonight, then tomorrow our kids and grandkids stop over sometime during the day. BTW, save me a place at dinner tonight, it sounds better than ours!

Okay, ready for this one. First dinner or late lunch at mother in law's, go to church then back to my house. Used to throw my side of the family into the mix, but it got too crazy. Shifted it up a bit this year in-law's for grub, half the group to one church, back to my house and then my family goes to church later. Whew, I'm tired.
Merry Christmas and God Bless.
Mike

Oh man, that sounds awesome. Cold Killians, venison.....mmmm...

No traditions here. With the wife and my jobs were just lucky to be off. This is the first year in 5 years I havent been on duty for Christmas.

I know about all the running to try and see all the family. Now that my family (Mom, Dad, Brother) are deceased we just head down to my Mother-in-law's to spend the day with my wife's family on Xmas day. We have our time on Xmas eve.
After 30 years of having to work, I now can enjoy being off this time of year.

I spend a fair amount of time on the phone. Talked to "Uncle Ken" and my buddy Rich. Then I have few other guys that I ran with years ago and even though we promise to stay in touch more, it seems we only talk at Christmas time to relive our past glory days.
Best thing of it all is we seem to reach out to each other and still make contact the same time every Christmas Eve.
This upcoming year we promised to get together for a reunion, hope it works out but at least we have Christmas 2011...

Our pastor usually does communion on Christmas eve. Then time and work permiting we go to my wife's father's church for their Christmas Eve service and then to another local church for their midnight Candlelight Service. Only made communion this year. Really missed going to the midnight Candlelight Service.

I'm starting to appreciate my fathers decision to stay home on Christmas, with a glass of beer and a slice of pumpkin pie. Midnight mass for me.
