Christmas untility

Really wasn't planning on finishing this one up today but the pull of the shop was just to much for me to resist. This one has a 6 1/2" 1065 blade, wrought iron half guard and cap with sambar stag for the handle. I think the stag was a piece that got handed out at the last Atlanta Blade Show as free advertizment. Wasn't sure how it would work as a handle but it looks like it did.

You just need to hang out at the show for 3 days and while you taking your nap on Sunday it will appear at your table.

I checked it real quick and I believe it was 11 1/2".

I saw this one last friday during my visit to Ray's shop. It is a beaut (<<<<<is that a word?) I was able to examine it very closely and the file work on the butt cap and guard that allow the flow of the stag shape to follow right into the wrought iron guard and cap is very professionally done! I like the hamon line on this one a lot!
