So what is on your Christmas wish list this year?

I'm scheming on the following (listed in order of probability):

Fiddleback Runt with a Scandi grind and some of that waterfall Bubinga (assuming any is left).

Fiddleback Ladyfinger with a Scandi grind and East Indian Rosewood (by itself or layered over maker's choice).

Some sort of bolt action rifle chambered in 0.270 (for this one, the probability is approaching zero).

Not much of a list here.....Monies are a bit tight.

I am off work for the first time in 5 years this year. Ive never been with my son christmas morning, always been on the ambulance for 24 hours christmas day since he was born. Thats all the gift I need is christmas morning and day with my family. I cant explain how happy I am for that. :)

If I had to put an object on my wish list, it would be a belt sander to start learning how to convex...

This will be our first Christmas with a little one, so I can imagine how you feel:thumbup:

I'm not asking for much this year. My parents and my wife's parents keep badgering me to come up with a wishlist. I keep telling them that I'm a simple man. Give me a box of standard velocity .22 ammo, some AA's, and some movie passes and I'm good to go. My mother in law called me the other day trying to pull teeth about this whole Xmas thing. I said, "just concentrate on Sarah. I have a stockpile of toys. I don't need anything else." Nothin doin. She called Sarah right afterwards telling her to get me to make a list. I am very thankful that my wifes parents love me though. That's Xmas gift enough in itself. I've seen marriages where that's not the case and I feel really bad for those poor bastards.

Well, I'm an incredibly lucky bastard, and I'm loaded up on toys, and as of this year, thanks to all of you, and my wife's unbelievable understanding, I am chasing my dream, and I'm kinda giddy about that. So I don't have a Christmas wish list toy wise. The shop could use some stuff, but that stuff isn't on a wish list.

Plenty of Bubinga.

Cool. That stuff goes well over Osage, but really is gorgeous by itself.

Just got a M1 30 cal, and love that gun.

I'm very glad to hear you'll be spending Christmas with your family Jake.

We're in contract on our dream house - half of it built in 1812, the rest in the 1850's, moved onto a new basement in 1944. The price was lower than you'd expect - alot of people around here look for in-ground pools, cathedral ceilings, crazy amounts of masonry. There's a few title defects on the house that will either clear up easily, or make the sale an absolute nightmare, with no middle ground. So we're hoping our Christmas surprise will be that the deal actually comes through, because everything else in our price range in this area will be just a house.

Oh, since we're on the subject of M1s (Garands I hope), I have a backburner (10 years) project - putting together a Garand from a spare parts kit and sweet Winchester receiver.

I've shot a Garand before. Its really a sweet gun. Watch your fingers on that action though.

This one is smaller, but man, fun to shoot.

So, yours is a carbine, then? Lucky bastich. Carbines are illegal here in NJ, so I have never had the honor of owning one.

Yet, I can have a garand, an AK, or an AR. Go figure.

870 Express 12ga

wide brim fedora

3 cd shelf stereo system

Eyeing up some Fiddlebacks as an Xmas present to myself though ;).

Andy, those carbines have to be the most fun rifle to shoot, bar none. Although, an M4 carbine with holographic sights is a somewhat distant second.

I have a Fiddleback kitchen knife on my list.
In fact, when they are made, I am probably good for 2:D

Right on, brotha. Enjoy every minute of it. My wife will be working Christmas morning this year and will miss lil' man's second Xmas. Gotta do what you gotta do - savings lives is important too!

Give your son an extra hug on Xmas morning from all your bros here at BF.
