Man I remember some lean times in Christmas past. I even made some of our own ornaments as we couldn't even afford those at the time -
Anywho, thought I would share these since my wifey still hangs them on our tree today - not very good carvings, but definitely represent some vey good memories.

I think my knife knowledge was limited to Case, buck, Gerber, Shrade, and Barlow at that time :D

So what were some good times/things you guys did to celebrate Christmas when you was Po too?

Those are cool bear.

Eta: every Christmas was a poor Christmas when I was a kid. I don't remember a bad one though. The heat was off one year and we all had to wear jackets or blankets. No snuggie technology available in the early eighties. :)

That is cool...... we are having a humbug Christmas this year..........too busy, too warm, no Christmas spirit............humbug i say....humbug!

great carvings !
We have some old ones that my grandfather made
when my mom left Germany. He wanted to
be sure she always had "Christmas" with her.
My brothers and sisters take turns putting them on our trees.

The start of a great tradition Bear, nice!
"Ya kids, grampa bear made these way back in the olden days,
before lectrizady and xbox! They didnt have much money
and even had to eat the ends of the bread back then"

Nice work Bear! I remember a lot of lean Christmas in the early years of marriage. hell she was 16 and I was 18 when we got married and we had a 3 year old. We have come a long ways since then.what don't kill you only makes you stronger!
