"The billet for this was originally intended for a much larger monster, but like many things in life you've got to roll with the punches. Yet, you don't always have to stand still. The Trident was a way to fight back with an aggressive approach to lines and shaping."

I handled this knife at the little rock show. Impressive fit n finish and had all the characteristics of properly mean fighter! nimble in hand and it cuts both coming and going. Good stuff!!! :D

A good looking knife demonstrating substantial skills.
Thanks for sharing this Caleb as I'm not too familiar with Christopher's work. Beautiful photo.

I was wondering how it would feel and handle. Sounds from you post that it ranks high in that department.

Hello!

Thanks for posting up, Caleb! Great image and beautiful knife with lovely Koa!

Kevin, I am fortunate enough to be the caretaker of Chris' first forged blade (the "Malachi"), also shown here some time ago and I am thouroughly impressed by it (not even accounting for the "first" forged knife part), fit and finish are absolutely meticulous and I really like the handling. I will definitely be watching his future work very closely! ;)

Best,
Alex

Yep. You don't know him cause he has made only a few knives:applouse:. I think this is about his third forged knife. To my knowledge he doesn't have a history of stock removal knives either. He has so much raw potential coming out its unbelievable...makes my first few knives want to run and hide, lol!:thumbup:

Thanks Alex, I'm going to try to find a photo of yours.

This is very complex design for a second or third knife, can't even imagine what he will making by the time he "gets the hang of it" ;)

Appreciate the feedback! It's always nice after spending so many hours in your own shop with only two hands to test things on. Maybe I can buy some extra hands?

Thanks! Caleb has been a great help showing off my work by getting these pictures posted. I need to do a WIP or something.

You're too kind Alex!

Sure looks like it, fantastic sheath as well.
WOW. [emoji106]
Great image, Caleb.

I'm glad you noticed the sheath! My wife made it and I showed her Calebs photo with her name on it and she got extra giddy. Same when I showed her your comment. :)

Don't worry Ben I have those first ugly knives hiding too. I did do a handful of stock removal blades though, so atleast I learned how to half way grind before jumping in on the forging. I probably saved a headache there.

I think I have everything posted in my Instagram if you wanted to track down the ugly ones!

Also, appreciate the advice at the show!
Great job Chris . Definitely a talented young man.

Thanks David! Means a lot coming from you. You see plenty of beautiful work beyond my skill.
