I was reminded of something by my sister Anne, who has been carrying one of these since she was 14 years old. Dad had given her one, and she still has it in her purse.

Since they have been in buisness since 1930 something, and is still a family owned operation, what would they be classified as? They sure don't look like a traditional, but then niether does a wire handle Schrade boy scout knife/fork set up.

jackknife,Is this the knife that is like the AG Russell "Funny Folder" ?

The slide knife concept reminds me of a little GHS Brothers Manufacturing Company knife I bought at a tag sale a few years back. I always figured it was a little '50s vintage knife. The tip is broken- it may be a good candidate for a little reprofiling there.

I used to have one or two of them before the CA sheeple decided that we couldn't carry them. I hope I can find it. They are a great little knife and they were reasonably priced.

Thanks for reminding me about them.

I gave them as small gifts to customers for many years. Handy little utility knives. Sharp as well...
