There has been a few threads recently on 112s,how good they are,how much we like them....112s are the main focus of my collection,I have over 2 dozen now and I hope to diplay soon. I have recently become a life member of BCCI because of my love of collecting Buck 112s , this forum, the fellowship of my fellow BCCI members and all of you at Buck.. So many of us true diehard Buck collectors have wanted over the years for you to add the 112 to the Custom Shop lineup...Now that Buck is settled in at Post Falls is it Time?

It would be nice to have some Custom 112's...   ... Made by Buck in there Custom Shop... :):D:)

If we had to wait 4-6 MONTHS,and it cost more the a 110,we only had limted options....Well , do ya take Visa?????

If something is to be added to the custom shop line......why not a big and impressive fixed-blade like......oh, maybe the "discontinued" 120???

I'd buy some 120s for sure.

In fact, you can consider this an order and send me a 120 in BG-42 and Elk and nickel hardware just as soon as you get it done......no hurry, take your time and make it extra beautiful.

Just e-mail me for the credit card info.

That's an interesting idea...but why not go a step further? The 120 was originally the 119 but in an extended blade length...Why not make "Custom Shop 119's" with a choice of blade lengths again??? 6 1/2", 7 3/8", 10"...whatever...

There was even a 5" version of the "119"... :)

...And re-introduce Micarta grips!!! :D:thumbup:

 And the 119 is Bucks best selling fixed blade!!!!!!!! ;)

Think your brother would buy one?

wow an easy one
...NOPE...
did not buy the bcci official club custom either.. why a reg custom shop one?
i do not collect them now... once i did ...

ya see its like this ...
if my brother had NOT started a 112 collection i would have continued my 112 collection as my
Matching 110 / 112 's even had a name for that future display..
dad and lad ..

in fact in the displays at blade show i had 4 matching 112's below their counter part 110's !
one set in each display..
once bucksway said he was going to collect the 112 and asked if he could buy a few of mine..
i quit collecting them at all.. and sold him what he wanted or could buy..
i wont compete with him to buy them or display then...
so some of my comments on 112 are only a way to tease him and be funny..

Custom Shoppe 112's?

Custom Shop 119's (in all lengths) would actually be cheaper to produce...According to Joe, the bigger [thicker] blades are all Laser cut now...and it would only take a few seconds to mod the prog for a longer/shorter 119...Rather than set up a whole new prog from scratch (for the 112)... :D

I gotta admit a CS 119 is very appealing to think of Folks! But I would like to point out that a 'gimme gimme gimme' attitude sort of turns my stomach at this point. I think it somewhat insensitive to show such 'self-consumed, self-serving' begs and pleas when a couple dozen people may be in want/need at this point. Remember an employee named Ena? I understand we love our Bucks and we need to patronize our company but to cry at the doorstep for whole new lines of Customs??? I do acknowledge us busying up the CS 110 as a strong show of support too. I accept that this is exchanging ideas and discussing what we would like to see as fitting our own little world of Bucks on the homefront. It is all well and dandy but it is taking on 'broken-record' status too. Who has an order pending for an CS Alpha? Not raining on the parade Buck Brothers but I have read an awful lot of what could be loosely termed belly-aching to a company that is understandably assuming 'survival mode' for the future. The dollar is weak worldwide and we all have so much less money to eat on. These problems may continue to get worse, as I suspect they will. I have forgone some older production models to try and support what comes outta Post Falls this year as my little contibution towards the right direction. Paltry to be sure, but an attempt nevertheless. I think the buffalo spacered dagger LE of '08 will find a home here as funds allow. I let a couple of my beloved 124s go beyond my bid and didn't give chase further so that 976 can be possible. Aren't there lots of 112s on the auction block to keep those collectors occupied? Does Pete need another extension to answer for all this impending rush for Rangers? What 'Trax suggests is in a word, do-able, to change the offsets on the CNC and laser out exotic 119 blades for very little expense, if the blanks allow that is. And no, I don't need another explaination of the U-shape CS in the middle of the floor.
I hope all who make it this far in the text do not see this as a rant or negative in the least. I just think a little dignity will go far in this situation and since I am having to 'posture' in a very belt-tightening way too, it may not be in our best interest to clamour for more but to do more as WE can on this side of things.

I'm wondering how many CS Alphas get ordered. Perhaps it would make sense if Buck actually replaced the Alpha with the 119 as a custom shop option. My gut instinct is that it would actually cause an incerase in custom shop orders.

I was actually surprised when the Alphas appeared on the site. I fully expected the 119 to be the choice! Maybe the Alphas sell really well, but the 119 special is always touted as Bucks best selling fixed blade! I know when I tried to collect the 119's, it seemed as though more guys collected that model than any other... and theres tons of variations from Buck for the 119.

Well,I dont consider my post on this thread to be "Crying at the doorstep"...Collecting Bucks is a rewarding, fun, part of my life right now,The point I was trying to make to Chuck and CJ is that there is a lot of Buck collectors who would buy, right now, a custom shop 112..Im sure many would order a CS 119 too but my main focus is 112s..

To get to the point and answer your original question then, no, it is not time. If Buck were to offer their two most popular knives in the custom shop, the two knives that would be offered are the 110 and the 119. I like the 112, but considering the costs involved in the custom shop, those two models are the most obvious choices in my opinion

:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
119 Customs would certainly be on my Santa's List.
Have never even really considered ordering a Custom Alpha.

Mike, you got a point....If a Custom Shop 112 would be for sure good AND profitable for Buck inc. Chuck and CJ would be most likly taking orders right now...My thought is that the feedback from collectors and customers is of real intrest to the bean counters in the company...

Ok, you can call my 120 a 119 if you want.....just put a seven and a half inch blade on it and you can call it whatever you want.....I'll know it's a 120.

My order stands.....just e-mail me for the credit card info, Buck.

In the past I understand the CS was a lot bigger part of Buck than it is now. Was the shop closed compleatly ,even for 110s ? In the archives several posts infered the CS was not a profitable and was changed/ compleatly scaled back several times...Since the big move to Post Falls I am hoping it might expand to include 112s and other models too...
