This is my first cowboy dagger. The 5in blade was forged from a piece of W-1 and heat treated with clay to produce a really active hamon. I have done a traditional polish to bring out the Ashi. The fittings are 416SS and the guard has a groove filed around it. The scales are amber stag with hidden pins. The blade is removable by taking one of the bolsters off and removing a pin that secures the blade in the frame between the bolsters. The frame has been fileworked all the way around. Overall length is 9-3/4. The custom tooled leather sheath is by Chris Kravitt of Tree Stump Leather. The sheath can be worn on the left or right side.
