I just found out about the Chicago Knife Expo Sept 11 & 12th, located not in the suburbs, but 15 min from my apartment, at the the downtown Sheridan .

Those of you of a certain age may remember the SNL "Chez burger-Chz burger" bit. It's based on an actual bar, The Billy Goat, a block away from the show. To make this even cooler, it's underneath Michigan Ave.

Wow, that's a blast from the past. Delivered there all the time while working during summer breaks. I don't know if I'm dreaming, it's been a long time, but I recall working around a live goat chained in the store room.

Hope to make that show this year.
