Hello all, no this isn’t a ghost. This is Erik, Charles’ son.
I want to say that I read what a lot of you had to say about my father and I shared those comments with my mother. We very much appreciated the kind words. We miss him everyday and it’s still just as painful as it ever was with him being gone.
Now I have been tasked by my mother to help move the large collection of New York Knife Company blades and Hammer Brand blades to new homes. The pearls in his collection are staying with my mother for the time being.
So with all that said, any questions just hit me up by email citycop335@gmail.com or dm me here and we can talk about whatever.

it’s time that Chuko makes a return to bladeforums......

best regards. Erik

We miss seeing all those beautiful New York Knife Co. knives chuko (your father Charles) use to post here. He was a great collector who appreciated a well crafted and high grade vintage knife. All the best to you and your family during this difficult transition.

He was a neat guy with a good eye and disposition. He's missed.

I've always liked this from Robert Burns

An honest man here lies at rest,
As e’er God with His image blest:
The friend of man, the friend of truth;
The friend of age, and guide of youth:
Few hearts like his, with virtue warm’d,
Few heads with knowledge so inform’d:
If there’s another world, he lives in bliss;
If there is none, he made the best of this.

I carry a knife I got from him daily, it’s my house pocketknife when I get home from work, and has opened numerous Christmas gifts over the years.
