Well guys, that is an oldie but a goodie from Sher made while Uncle Bill was still with us. I see yours Zeke is a Bura, which must be nice. :) I was lucky to get this one off of one of the older members, it is back from when Uncle Bill was asking the Sarkis to get creative and make their work part of a whole picture by putting pictures onto the scabbards. I admit I was really happy to get this one, it is a favorite piece. :D

The handle actually feels like it was made for me. The contours fit my hand just right and make any chopping to be done easy and precise. Like all Sher's work, it is a heavy beast and I guess that is another reason I like it. Sher had a way of making something that ought to be a big, unwieldy, heavy piece of metal into something you could use easily. It is hard to see but it is also a very nice piece of horn, lot of gray swirls and grain in it.
