Found this on ePrey today and thought that it or similar may have inspired the UBE. I don't think I have the name quite right, it's supposed to be a cross between the Nepali word for knife and khukuri. :grumpy: ;)
Anyway, I thought y'all might be interested in seeing what may have inspired a kami. The UBE is much nicer looking IMO.:D  :D

Maybe that model was inspired by the UBE?

I'd like to think the UBE came first.

There is precedence in that Bura made the Movie Model after seeing a similar one in a movie. The kamis are great copiers sometimes taking the examples of old khukuris from museums and the Malla found under the BirGhorka shop floor for example to make new models of khukuris. If I'm not mistaken the Junge is a copy from an old museum piece.
