Bill Ankrom makes quite a range of chute knives and I chose his smaller version for this knife. He makes the standard chute, subhilt chute and is working on "battle" chutes.

I can't wait to see what he's making for Santa Barbara, including a Big Bear!

This knife has a 3 1/2" blade, polished Big Horn Sheep, red liners. I am in love with the polished sheephorn as a handle material! Bill continues to use a flat grind with a 2500 grit hand rubbed finish.

The knife was sent right to Paul Long for one of his creations. Excellent as usual.

Great looking package Win.
I also like the little "dipped" choil and a good choice for handle material.
Big Horn Sheep looks nice polished or not, and makes a very user friendly handle.

Be still my beating heart!!! I LOVE that knife!! The sheath is great also. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Chute knives.

SWEET knife and beautiful sheath. I would not have guessed polished sheep horn if you hadn't said it was. Looks good on there!

Congrats,
Peter

That is a very nice looking combo of knife and sheath
I like the way that Ankrom has finished the lanyard hole.Extra work, but makes the appearance much better.

Knife and sheath are both great. Love the look of that polished sheep horn.

Thanks for all the compliments, I've sent the link to Bill. Now if we could get him to post!

I really am glad I had him use the Big Horn, it polishes up so nicely. On the closeup of the handle you can see a couple red spots. Bill tells me that's when the rams butt heads and blood vessels sometimes burst.
