Hi Guys,

This is a Chute Knife for a customer. I'm not sure if the 'Romano' description is correct, but it differs quite a bit from the original Loveless Chute. So if the name isn't correct, I'd also like to know what the correct description is!

Blade - Bohler N690
Handle - Desert Ironwood & red liners
Guard and pinning - 303 Stainless Steel.

Best,
Neill

Very well executed, from the grinds to the handle and that Ironwood is extremely nice.:thumbup:

It is awesome! Since I am the "customer" I have to say I can't wait for it to arrive!

BTW... Funny Jim.

*Thanks to Kohai999 for introducing me to another amazing maker!!! You have a great eye STeven.

That is a fine Schutte Chute for sure and one that the collector will certainly enjoy. I know it would fit nicely into my Chute knife collection.

I learned from Neill when ordering this knife he pronounces his name with a "k" sound I believe. I too liked the idea of it being a chute chute!

Apparently the name's derivation connects with his great archer mark. Please help me here Neill and clarify for all.

Well, heck, then, just "schutte" on over so we can sit and chat about that fine "schutte" knife with out having to drop in via parachute.

Morning Guys,

Thanks for the positive feedback..

Extremely well done.
Romano.

Mr. Romano, this is beautiful design!

My surname is German and is pronounced with a 'k' sound as Jakester mentioned. Like SCHool... But I just Googled this "Schutte Name Meaning: Dutch and North German (Schütte): occupational name for an archer, from Middle Low German schutten 'to shoot'", so the pronunciation of 'Shoot' makes good sense!

Best,
Neill Shoot!

Shoot!! sure glad we got that cleared up. No matter what it is called the real name is "superb". Well, done and thanks for letting us have a bit of fun and I think you have something you may want to run with too as I think many folks will like the Schutte Chute.

Then, this would be one maker's interpretation of another maker's (Romano) interpretation of another maker's (Loveless) work, right? Can't argue with that kind of design success!

Obviously, I love Loveless style knives, and this one is a stunning piece. Can't wait to give it the once over when my buddy Jakester takes delivery......I'm sure that it will be an amazing knife in the hand.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson
