I just completed this matching knife/grip set and thought I'd post them for comment. I decided to make this Chute more to the Loveless traditional style but just a bit thicker at the ricasso and a bit thinner tapered tang at the butt. The wood used is Claro Walnut with crotch flame figure - Truoil finished.

.200" CPM-154 stock
HT to Rc 59-60
9 1/4" OAL
4 1/2" Double hollow ground blade - 1.100" high
Sharpened clip
Pinned/soldered guard
416 Stainless furniture
Red liners on tapered tang
Mirror hollow grinds/satin flats

I made it for myself, but I could be talked out of the set for the right price :) I posted it in the fixed knives for sale section.

What usually happens is a Wilson Combat owner orders a custom grip set from Brian Challis who has a one year wait list, then the client asks me to make a matching knife. Brian and I are going to collaborate on a mammoth tooth knife/grip set later this year.

The knife is great and those pistol grips are something not usually seen on this site and quite well done.

Beautiful work sir. I'd just cut out a set of grips to make my first pair, Turkish Walnut. But since they are for me they are kinda at the back of the line. That matching set is great.

Thanks Dave - shoot us a photo when you get them completed. I love Turkish Walnut

Both the knife and gun are classics, and that wood sends them deeply into the DESIRABLE zone.

Good stuff!
