Here's one of my latest....

4 1/2" blade of 1095, overall length 8 3/4". Green canvas Micarta handle with dark red liners and 303 stainless fittings.

All comments, be it praise, criticism, or just good old fashioned abuse are welcome as always.:D

ya mean I'll have to wait five years for a knife like that?!
Well, ok, if you insist!:D:thumbup:

Cheers.

Lorien....'fraid so mate. I'm doing my best, but I have to sleep sometimes!

Very nice. 1095 isn't what I expected you to write as the blade steel. Through-hardened? There's an evil notion in my head that a chute would look nifty with a crazy hamon.

Ian,

Nice job on both knife and sheath. You are getting quite good with your Loveless inspired knives

You don't see too many Loveless styles in carbon steel...most people have more sense than me!:D

I've been using 1095 for a long time as I've got a plentiful supply of it and I'm still learning, although I have just started using some stainless. I've just finished a dropped hunter in RWL-34 and I'm currently making a small drop point from the same.

David, the profile is slightly thinner than it should be....in a moment of stupidity I gouged the spine on the grinder. I had to narrow out the whole profile to save it from going into the bin.;)

Cheers,

Ian

Thanks Kevin.:) I've tried really hard with these photos...still nowhere near as good as I'd like them, but I think I'm slowly improving....maybe;)

Murray, the next two orders on my list are for chutes with macassar ebony, so you might just see one soon. As for the holes...I love the old school way of doing things, so I just had to have them!;)

Cheers,

Ian
