I picked up a new in the package knife that I am having trouble with. The blade has the name Rover on it and rustfri on one side. The sheath has Lions with an L below a metal band in a crest. The dangle sheath says Denmark Finland IcelandNorway Sweden on it on the front with a metal cover over the blade point. Reverse side hasGeilo Knivfabrikk Geilo on one line above the seam and Made in Norway below the seam. It was in a bubble pack That said Garantert Geilo kniv geilo verktoy og knifabrikk on it. I know pictures would be helpful. Any help? It looks well made with a birch handle (maybe) dyed handle with a shiny metal end cap. Thanks

Garantert Geilo kniv geilo verktoy og knifabrikk = Guarantied Geilo Knife, Geilo tool and knife-factory.
The Lions with the "L" in it is probably from the volunteer organization Lions Club.
Geilo Knivfabrikk was started by Erling Brusletto, grandchild of Rognald Brusletto that started the knifecompany Brusletto.

This site has 2 pictures of the knife i think you are talking about http://www.cultur.nu/knivar/tollemapp2006.htm and a picture of the Rover logo stamp.

They started making knifes in 1943 and they are now called Geilo Verktøy(Geilo Tools) and stopped making knifes in 1988.
First(1943) they where called "Geilo Knivfabrikk" and in 1962 they changed their name to "Geilo Verktøy og Knivfabrikk" if that helps dating it.

Thank you for your response. It is the same knife that you referenced only new in package. Does a knife like this have any collector value, or use it as a worker? I have lots of workers.
