Howdy Y'all,

Just wondering, is there any reason it would be a bad idea to store traditional folders in an old cigar box? I just don't know if there might be some kind of tannins left over from the cigars that will cause rust, or something crazy like that. Thanks!

Trout Hound Trout Hound My experience has been very positive. I converted an old humidor to knife storage. It does still smell a little like cigars (which I have no problem with:)), but it makes a great, humidity controlled knife case. I lined the drawers with cork sheets recommended by Bob @BigBiscuit. It works great for me. Check it out!

B bill2000 I stand corrected! It was your idea. I had a lot of helpful suggestions on repurposing this thing. The cork is a great, final touch. Thanks Bill.

That looks great! I don't know why I didn't think of cork for my cedar storage box.
It works really well. I also did not glue it down or remove the paper backing to expose the adhesive in this case. If it got stained or something, easy to replace and it lays down just fine. YMMV

That is a great looking box you have there! I use an old desk but the partitions in a cigar box are nice.

That looks very nice now with more knives in it my friend . I would have to have more Stag in the top drawer though and I know you have a bunch to do it with too .

Thank you sir! That's an old picture. I have two drawers full now and about two sections of stag. But, I'm away and can't update the photo.
