I have a bad habit getting buying the best I can afford...heck, I collect Busses so you get the picture;)

So all of you long time cigar assfishinados, heres the deal. I got a great deal on a really nice humidor a couple years ago and I have found that all I've been stocking it with are as follows:

CAO - Italias (my favorite)
Oliva - O's (Mmmmm, nummy!)
Oliva - V's (decent fallback when the next ones are unavailable)
Fuente - OX FF (the reason I got a humidor...I inadvertantly learned
about aging after leaving a couple of these in a cedar cigar box
with a pillow pack for about nine months, Worlds different than
fresh out of the store)
Partagas - Blacks
Camacho - Coyolars
Occasionally I will grab a few recommedations of the tobacconist (he's been great at nailing ones I like) but I keep falling back onto what I'm familiar with.

So also assuming my palate prefers super hoppy and bitter beers, tawny ports, and anything else that has some ass behind it and is NOT spicy (cigars included) ...what else am I missing out on that is more AFFORDABLE and might age into a nice smoke?

I am a FFOX man myself. Notice my avitar?

Next up is the Monte #2.

Fuente Don Carlos #2

I realy enjoy the larger ring guage and torpedo shaped smokes.

LMAO, there is a guy that visits the place I buy from that has the FFOX logo tattooed HUGE, shoulder to shoulder on his back. I love them too but my back is being saved for Busse content:D

Fuente Don Carlos Short Story for a shorter smoke.
Drew Estates Java, chocolate / coffee, great morning cigar.

The Short Story is in the Hemingway Series, not Don Carlos, but who cares. Any of the Hemimgways are GREAT.

Be sure to try the La Gloria Cubana Series R. they are really good smokes. Also try the Padron Anniversario Maduro and Ashton Virgin Sun Grown.

I've smoked ceegars for better than 30 years and keep all of the above in my humidors.

BTW, for a great everyday smoke, the Fuente 8-5-8 in natural is ALWAYS a goto smoke. While today they run about $80/box, I started buying them when you could get them for $31/box. Those were the good days.

Good luck in finding your grail cigar.

for a blast to the neighbors....any acid smoke by drew estates.
Definately not your everyday smoke though. Im a Fuente fan.
Olivia being next in line for me.
Drink,Smoke,Be merry!!!!:)

Strabs, I will be through your neck of the woods tomorrow. Long story involving loosing a tire in Beloit week before last and having to go back up with a new one so I can drive the car home. I'm not sure when, but I might give you a call. Hopefully I still have your correct phone numbers. Drop me a note via PM or email if they have changed since a couple of years back I guess.

I am a die hard Fuente connaisseur myself. However an Acid every now and then is a good thing. Acid is well made and quite surprisingly good.

If you want to smoke incense:eek::eek::eek:

There is reason tobacconists keep them in a separate humidor. Acid makes JR's Alternates taste good *if that's possible).

I like the Hemmingways also, got a La Gloria Cubana Series R in the box...just had a Nestor signature last night:thumbup:

I've tried a couple Acids but I've never been drawn to the flavored or aromatic like cigars.

I have never had the CAO's until lately.

THey are amazing. I can let em go out and relight em and they taste like new.

I picked up my first box at Costco out of their humidor. THe Costco has a nice selection but I didnt want to buy 20-75 cigars

so the CAO's where in a hatbox kinda box with 2 each of their 3 most popular smokes. A total of six cigars and it was marked at $31.99.

When I got home I looked at the receipt they only charged me $19.99 or around $3 each:)

Needless, to say I went back and have bought another 3-4 boxes in past couple months and they always charge me $19.99. I mentioned it but no one seems to care and they havent changed em.

So I keep buying em. awesome smokes at an even better price.
