While unpacking at the new house, I set my humidor on the shelf and thought the empty bottom drawer would be a good spot to store my folders, it's not affected by the humidity in the rest of the box. They should be OK right?

It should be fine though I would always throw in some of those little packets to keep humidity under control, but more so to be ironic in a dry humor sense of way

I don't know if it's a good idea and I personally wouldn't do it. Moisture flow follows gravity and your drawer is a moisture trap for whatever moisture escapes from the humidor above it.

Do you have a digital hygrometer that you can put in there? I suggest that you keep track of the RH in the drawer, just to be safe.

If you have a well-made humidor I doubt it'll be leaching much moisture. You should be fine.

Edit: a hygrometer couldn't hurt if you want to be really sure, just leave it in there for awhile and if it looks ok you're probably fine.
