Cigar Man - Where's The Damascus?

The 32 layer came out pretty good with some real nice patterns. The cable has a few inclusions in it but I can work around it. I havn't been in my shop for a while now. Things are really crazy. I am hoping to get going again in a week or two.

DUDE!!! Lay off the cigars and get with the program. :D :D

I've been real busy lateley trying to finish up a home project here. My wife calls it a swimming pool but I just call it "The big hole in the backyard that I keep throwing money into." She has visions of Margeritaville at our house and if this keeps going, we'll be living in an old refridgerator box. :D

Anyway, I have been practicing my freehand grinding a bit (Joe B. would be proud). Here is a photo of the 32 layer L6-1095 billet I made at I.G's a few weeks ago. I just cleaned it up a bit a threw on a quick etch to show the pattern.

Hope you like!

Bill

Go ahead Mace..................................

Nice pattern Bill. Is that a folder blade? The blade you heattreated for me came in on Friday. Final grind and etch are done. Put the guard on this afternoon and will try to finish the handle tomorrow night. Thanks again, Bill, for the help.

Marcel

Marcel,

Glad you got the blade in time for the weekend.

This blade is going to be a fixed blade fighter. I never made a fighter before so it may take a few shots. I'll be sure to post when done.

Bill

What? I wasnt going to say anything. :D

Not bad for your 4th knife! :D :D :D

Is the blade ground on one side only? Kind of looks that way in the pic............Nice job as always Bill, can't wait to see it done.
Mace

HAH! I told myself, "Dang, someone's got some hellacious grinding skills for their 4th knife" after reading what Mace wrote.

Then I clicked on the profile..

Then I clicked on the website and saw the name.... :D Doh! Fooled me!

Nice steel, Bill.

Glad to know you made it through another day where those Guatemalens didn't chop you up for chorizo and laminate you into a hull. I would assume all that BS in the laminate would increase flotation. :D

You glad I'm back??? ;)

Cool, I hope it's painful! Here's a present:

:p :D

Michael, sorry about the hijack, but nobody's given that hairball enuf cr*p for months. :)

I figured you were relevant since the steel was probably made at your house.

I forget this section has been sanitized. I will try and be good. You're just so appealing, you hairy-backed brute. :D

Sorry Kit, I'll keep it proper henceforth. :)
