I'm looking for a higher end, carbon bladed pocket knife. Anybody have any experience with Boker's Cinch knives. Look very nice. They make a neat yellow bone handle with carbon blades. I like the looks of the CSC and Queen, but neither is carbon.

Thanks,
tjg

I have a Boker Congress in carbon steel that is excellent, As long as you stick to Boker's German line of slipjoints, they are usually high quality.

PS, Queen's D2 is carbon steel, not stainless.

Cinch are Boker's Chinese import line.

Actually, the Magnum Bonsai series is Boker's Chinese made knives. Cinch is, per the catalog, the "Cinch Premium Series." The tang stamps on the catalog knives is for the German knives. Except on the Sodbuster which shows the Arbolito, Argentina stamping. Cinch is a fancy jeans company and the knives are one of those brand deals. Here is how Cinch bills them selves on their website. "Cinch launched in 1996 as a premium quality jean and shirt brand for the western male consumer." This is from http://www.cinchjeans.com/about/index.php

It seems to me is that the Cinch Bokers are just special badged, extra priced specimens of the regular Boker line. I haven't handled any of the Cinch labeleds so I can't say if they have any extra fit and finish, but I kind of doubt it. Personal opinion is that they just cost more for the name.
