I am curious as to what the "Cinch" label is made out of. When I got my knife I found that the label is embedded on the right side of the stag handle and sitting slightly proud of the left side. Not sure what to make of this? All in all it sure does not take anything away from knife itself. Great stag handles, scary sharp blade and super smooth action.

If you are refering to the shield, they are a nickel-silver alloy.

Hello Terry,

Is my situation typical of Cinch knives? Is there anything that can be done or am I just nit picking? Yes I am referring to the shield. It appears that maybe the stag wasn't cut right to allow the shield to lay flat (embedded) on the left side.

Thanks for your reply.

With stag, it is impossible to always cut for a flat fit of a shield. It is just the nature of that particular material, especially for a bar shield instead of round.
