Hello fellow blade aficionados,

My name is (redacted), aka cinnamochoil, please feel free to call me cinna. I'm a young blade enthusiast, outdoorsman, anarchist. I've taken a keen interest in various axes and knives over the last couple of years. I love the poetry of turning earth to steel, and the technology that goes into making modern steel alloys.

I've compiled a small collection of knives I'd like to share. I prefer a more generic look, as I feel such pieces display a timeless and utilitarian design. Most importantly they are fine examples of contemporary engineering and craftsmanship. I am fortunate to have them in my possession. Thank you for the opportunity to share in your forum.

To the left are the hard users. Opinel 8,9,10. Rat 1 serrated, Rat 1 plain. Kershaw Tremor.
To the right are the EDCs/fondlers. Spyderco Manix 2 XL. Kershaw Piston. Spyderco Paramilitary 2. Kershaw Knockout. Kershaw Skyline. Buck 055.

I thoroughly enjoy all these blades, after holding and using them for some time I would like to now rate them in order of general preference.
1. Paramilitary2 2. Rat1 3. Skyline 4. Manix2 XL 5. Opinel 6. Tremor 7. Knockout 8. Is a toss up Buck55/Kershaw Piston
Note: Just a bit of fun, my opinion could change in any given week. The list was harder than I anticipated. Which I'll take as a sign I have some capable blades on my hands.

Thanks fellas, and word up to you. I've been lurking for a few solid months, felt like a good time to join in the discussion.

Welcome. Seems you like black. If you ever feel like color, wood or other materials there are many great custom scale makers on this forum.

I was checking out some custom scales last night actually, I'll have to look back and see what site it was, found it in a thread here though. I'd be more interested in wood scales. Color is alright but I prefer a simpler look. I like an orange scale on a knife I'll be using heavily. Easiest color for me to pick out of the dirt and leaves.

Sick picture btw, showcases the grain of the wood very well. I'd like to see a damascus blade with that scale that maybe matched the grains a bit. Could look amazing:)
