Latest finished.

9" OAL, 4 1/2" blade length.
blade steel is 5160, full tang construction with a taper and .
front bolster is of stabalized jarrah burl .. and rear bolster and the tang liner is of pentium computer motherboard.
& mosaic brass pins

the mirror polish came up a treat in this one... i was rather pleased.

and a sheath is on its way, but im waiting on some parts before it can get finished.

Nice use of recycled computer parts also.
The grind and finish look Outstanding on this one.

I wouldn't mind seeing this knife from a few different angles, Dion. From what I can see it is pretty spectacular. That blade looks to have a superb grind. That is a very interesting use of a circuit board.

Simply WILD! I really don't know how you do it, but anything I have seen posted of your work just blows my mind. While not always right up my alley, the level of design and workmanship still has me in awe. Excellent. :cool:
 
Very cool! I always like to look at your work, but this one was even more unique than usual. The blade profile looks really sweet and recycling that mobo, now that's genius. :) Finally a good use for old computers.

Now if you could actually embed an old pentium in a knife (ok, it'd have to be a *big* knive) - you'd have made the first knife w/ a CPU. ;) ;)

I have been working in the IT industry for 10 years and this is the coolest use for old computer parts I have ever seen. I have built sculptures and all sorts of other weird stuff from them but this is very cool and unique.
