I bought my wife a Citizen Women's Eco Drive Titanium watch about 4 1/2 years ago. I set it and she wore it. Last night, I picked it up and checked the time. It was 45 seconds fast. I asked my wife when was the last time she set it? She said, "Set it? I never set it." 4 1/2 years and only 45 seconds off?

Anyone else have one of these watches? I'm just curious as to how accurate they are.

I have an Eco Drive DivePro Chrono that's about 6 years old. It has only gained about 4.5 seconds a year. Citizen puts out a decent product. But then again, all of my Citizen watches were priced above $550 new. I'm not sure about the accuracy of their lower end line though.

Citizen make fantastic watches. I've owned two (my first was stolen), but they both kept great time. I set mine every 2 months to keep the calender date correct but my current one only gains about 2-3 seconds in that time.

I bought an Eco Drive watch a few years ago and it would not stay charged no matter what I did. I had to send it back to Citizen and they did fix it and it worked for about 6 months until it crapped out again. I gave up and switched to Luminox.

I've had an Eco Drive for about 2 years. It was around $500 or so. I have yet to correct the time.

I have 2 eco-drives - a $450 or so diver and a $100 every day field type watch. Both stay charged for 60 days plus in a drawer, keep great time and are basically maintenance free. I wore the dive watch daily at work for around 8 years with no problems. Highly recommended. Although, I may not need to buy another watch for decades, which isn't so great for Citizen.

I have a Citizen Ecodrive, it was around $175. Bought it 1 year ago, and it's accurate, have not channged the time at all, just the date. It's been perfect. Darn good watches.

I've wore my SS Ecozilla 300m dive watch for a few years now, and it's so accurate that I could set the Atomic clock by my watch.

Wearing an Eco Drive right now- it was less than $100 "used" (essentially NIB) and I've had it on non-stop for over a year- keeps great time.

Nine years of almost daily wear for my Eco Drive.

It is difficult to say about the long term accuracy, because I change the time regularly travelling between time zones, but it rarely is more than a few seconds out after about a month or so.

It is looking a little battered and worn these days, but is still my favourite watch for EDC, and I have five other watches for day use and two for formal occasions.

When this one dies (before I do), I will get another in a heartbeat.

I bought one of the cheaper eco drives around 10 years ago. After a few years wear it got left in a drawer. I rediscovered it a couple of years ago, left it under a desk lamp for a day to recharge and its still running today.

Accuracy is somewhat of a moot point since you have to change time twice a year anyway ! Stupid time change !

I don't wear mine enough for it to keep charged---when I do, it keeps decent enough time.

My smart phone has made the wrist watch obsolete---sadly----but I try to keep the EDC load as light as possible.

In the winter when I wear long sleeves inside and out, it doesn't get any sun and not enough artificial light, it loses charge and stops.

If i deliberately shine a desk lamp on it while I'm on the computer, or set it on the dash of my car for a day it stays going strong

I've had one for at least 10 years. I don't wear watches any more; this is considered more of a "dress watch"..... I leave it sitting in a window and have effectively not touched it for a couple of years. I picked it up the other day and it was still ticking along nicely and was on the right minute....
Hard to beat.
Like many, since I carry a cell phone anyway.... Why wear a watch? Also, our long-sleeve uniform shirts I wear much of the year have elastic sleeves and are extremely uncomfortable with a watch.

The wrist watch came about when people realised it was much faster to take a glance at the wrist than to pull out the pocket watch.

I have 2 Eco Drives and they are great. They constantly beat out other more expensive and more famous name brands for wrist time.
