Awful close to home!!! The county that I reside in prohibits possession, PERIOD. No collections, no practice, NADA!!!! I've seen 'THEM' clean off the tables, at the area gunshows, of any martial arts equipment. Several years ago, I witnessed an arrest made and knives confiscated at a show in Overland Park, KS., after an undercover agent made a buy from a dealer. CYA!!!!!!

Whats a "martial arts weapon"? Arnis uses sticks, so can they, too, not be sold or owned? How about axes, macheties, flails, etc. ? I never understood that one. Does your state consider slingshots to fit the bill (some do)? How about guns? I know they are martial arts weapons...

Here in MA they prohibit nunchaku, shuriken and most chain/thrown weapons. I have seen throwing knives for sale however. There are bali's for sale too but I'm not sure of the laws. MA has some odd laws and ways of enforcing them. Last year they made selling drug paraphenalia (sp?) illegal. The local head shops closed for a week and opened right back up again. Interestingly, one of the shops also sells bali's and throwing knives. Heh

Slingshots are in the same class as firearms; I cannot discharge anything in the city limits, including a BLOWGUN!!!!!!

Hey DOC,

BALLI's are good to go in MA. No double edge though ( you probubly like your fingers anyway. No double edge of any type ( throwers included) No stars, but who's to say what a thrower is? kinda vauge. Be leary of the Emerson Commander...."any knife with a device or case wich enables a knife locking mechanism to be drawn at a locked position..." This new style knife is cool, but the laws wording can fit by definition.

REFER TO MA GEN LAW CHAP 269 SEC 10 Possesion of dangerous weapon (on person, or in vehicle)

I'm afraid that I like his manifesto of madness.
