Civilian lock up gap?

Hi Sal,
was wondering if you could help me out. I have a Civilian and the backlock portion of the knife looks a little "off". There is a noticeable gap between the locking portion of the lock and the rear portion of the backspacer. I would say on my Wegner mouse the space is only a mm or so, but on the Civilian, it appears to be 4-5 mm or so, it looks off to me at least, I can "see" through the knife. In anycase, I was wondering if there is anything that can be done for this to correct it, I'd be willing to pay for it. Thanks for your time and love your knives

Hi Jon. the space shouldn't affect performance. They're all the same. The only way to "fit" the backspacer closer would be to have one custom made by a custom maker. It could get expensive to do.
